Understanding the Gold Per Day (GPD) Formula
To maximize farm profits across each 28-day season in Stardew Valley, crops are evaluated using Gold Per Day (GPD). For single-harvest crops, the raw GPD formula is:
GPD = [ (Sell Price - Seed Cost) * Quantity Harvested ] / Days to Grow
For regrowable multi-harvest crops (like Strawberries, Blueberries, and Cranberries), harvest cycles repeat every N days after reaching maturity without needing replanting.
